Tabs
The tabbed interface organizes your content into four focused tabs, making it easier to find what you need without having to scroll through a mixed feed.
Spike sorts incoming messages into Priority, Other, Starred, and Notes tabs based on sender importance and content analysis.
For more details on how AI categorization works, see our AI Feed guide.
The four tabs

1. Priority
Your Priority inbox contains all the important messages you receive. This includes emails from colleagues, clients, and other senders that matter to your daily workflow.
2. Other
The Other tab houses non-priority messages such as newsletters, promotional offers, and social media notifications.
This solves your overflowing email inbox. See what’s important first while the rest can pile up in your Other inbox for a later date.
3. Notes
Your Notes tab contains Collaborative Docs & Notes—not emails, but dynamic documents you can work on with your team.
4. Starred
The Starred tab shows items you’ve personally marked as favorites by clicking the star icon. This works across all message types.
How to manage your tabs
Moving items to starred

The Starred tab shows items you’ve personally marked as favorites by clicking the star icon. This works across all message types.
Moving between priority and other

To move a message from Other to Priority (or vice versa):
- Click the three dots menu on the message
- Select “Priority”
This action also trains Spike to remember your preference for that sender in the future.
For more details on managing Priority and Other inboxes, see our complete guide.
Switching to All View
If you prefer to see all your messages in one combined feed like before, you can turn off the Priority toggle in Settings > Messaging > Priority.

This will show you only 3 tabs:
- All
- Notes
- Starred.
The Priority and Other filtering will be disabled, and all your messages will appear together in the All tab.
