Spike is free to start with – whether you’re using a personal or a business email address – but as your needs progress, you’ll want to check out the premium plans to be able to store more collaborative Notes, upload more files, and join more groups.

Spike has a Free a plan for personal users, and Solo, Team, and Business plans for users with a business email address (custom domains). These plans are offered both monthly and yearly subscriptions. See our pricing page for more information on our plans.


The difference between a Personal and Business Account

An account is any single email address. There are two types of accounts: Personal and Business.

– Personal account: any email address that is not customized or is for personal use (,,, etc), such as or

– Business account: an email that has a custom business domain, such as or

All Business accounts can use Spike for 14 days for free.  You can add as many accounts as you want to your Spike app.

How to upgrade your Business Account


  1. Go to My Account

  2. Select the account you want to upgrade by clicking on your avatar. This will be used as the admin of your account.

  3. Select the number of accounts you want to upgrade.

  4. Choose your plan (yearly or monthly).

  5. Enter your credit card information and complete your subscription.

Once you’ve completed your purchase, you would be redirected to your dashboard. Use your dashboard to manage your accounts and information. If you want to upgrade additional accounts, Click the ‘Add users’ button. All accounts added to this dashboard would be upgraded based on the plan you chose.

Changing your Spike subscription payment information

To get started, you’ll want to log in to My Account.

  1. Click on ‘Actions’ and choose ‘Change credit card’ in the drop down menu.

How to cancel Spike subscription


We’re sorry to see you go! But if you must leave, we’d love to know why – please share your thoughts with us: so we can continue to improve Spike.

Follow these simple steps to cancel your account:

First, go to My Account – this is where you can manage your subscriptions, users, credit card info, and download invoices.

  1. Click on ‘Actions’ in the top right corner and select ‘Switch plan’ from the drop-down menu:

How to change the account you’re paying for


Did you sign up with the wrong account or want to change the account you’re paying for? Follow these steps to get it switched:



  1. Go to My Account.

    Go to My Account.

  2. Deactivate the account you don’t want to use anymore. Please make sure to deactivate the account before adding a new one to avoid being charged for another user.

How to switch between plans in Spike


Paying for Spike annually offers additional savings and allows you to simplify your reporting to expenses or taxes. Check out our pricing page to learn about the savings of paying annually. Switching plans from a monthly plan to a yearly plan (or vice versa) is done through My Account.
