Let’s jump right into the deep end and explore Roee’s profound insights into fostering a collaborative and aligned team environment. Through open communication, empathy, and a commitment to promoting trust and teamwork, Roee has guided Truvid to remarkable heights.

What is your leadership philosophy when it comes to creating and maintaining a collaborative and aligned team environment?

When creating a collaborative team environment it is crucial to be open and honest with the team. Whether it is being open about my thoughts and feelings or the company’s performances, it is super important to be open with everyone in the team so they can proceed properly. This philosophy ensures that we are all aligned and working towards the next goals. I encourage two-way communication, active listening, and constructive feedback to foster a culture of trust and respect.

How do you ensure that every team member is aware of their individual goals, as well as the team’s goals, and that they are working towards achieving them?

Firstly, I communicate regularly with each team member to set expectations and provide feedback on their performance. I make sure that they understand their role and responsibilities, and how they contribute to the overall success of the team. I also communicate the team’s goals, progress, and challenges, so that everyone is on the same page. Also, I regularly track individual and team performance against goals to identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes. I provide feedback and coaching to help team members overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

How do you build and maintain trust with your team members to create a positive work environment?

I am very open with my team and updating them with company updates. This creates trust because the company’s performances and updates are transparent. I am also open to new ideas and take any innovation seriously which creates an uplifting work environment for my employees. Also, I believe that empathy is essential to building trust. I try to understand my team members’ perspectives and needs and to be supportive of their personal and professional growth. I recognize that everyone has different strengths, weaknesses, and challenges, and I strive to create a work environment that is inclusive and supportive.

How do you promote team building/bonding?

We schedule regular team-building activities such as group lunches and fun days to bond out of the office. They are a lot of fun and allows your team to get to know each other in a more informal setting. At Truvid, we encourage a lot of cross-functional collaboration by encouraging team members from different departments to work together on projects. This fosters collaboration, team work and enables everyone to share their knowledge from their department, allowing a more holistic understanding of Truvid.

As a manager, how do you decide which tasks, projects or initiatives to prioritize on?

I usually prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance. Tasks that are both urgent and important should be prioritized over those that are less pressing. Also another thing to consider is the potential impact of each task or project on Truvid. I prioritize tasks that are likely to create the most amount of success for Truvid.

What are some of the key challenges you have faced in leading a team, and how did you overcome them?

Managing change is definitely one of the main challenges because Adtech is a volatile industry. Change is inevitable, but it can be challenging to manage when it comes to implementing new processes, updating our technology or if there is a significant industry change. As we are familiar with the Adtech industry, we are usually quite prepared to adapt to change. Our approach usually involves communicating the new rationale to our departments clearly so that they know what they need to do to adapt.

A heartfelt thank you to Roee Lichtenfeld, the CEO of Truvid, for generously sharing his invaluable leadership philosophy and experiences. By prioritizing open communication, team bonding, and adapting to industry changes, Roee has cultivated a positive work environment where every team member is empowered to reach their full potential.
